Oh happy day! The furniture came and we are off the floor!!! Everything should be in place when the kids return on Tuesday. Thank you, parents, for your understanding throughout this.

A special thank you to all the parents who helped with recess duty today and those who made desserts and salads for our luncheon. The teachers have been so patient and flexible through this whole furniture fiasco, I wanted to provide lunch and extra down time as a thank you. We couldn't have done it without our wonderful parents.

We have four dads who will be coaching our archery team. We had an overwhelming response from our students. Look for more details regarding when practices will start, but expect them at the end of September.

Counseling Services: Mr. Calvino visited the 4-8th grade classes on Tuesday. He will be here offering counseling services to our students. We are able to offer this using our EANS funds (the same one we are getting the furniture through). An introductory letter and a sign-up sheet went home a few weeks ago. Most common things for elementary students to talk with him about are stress, emotions, friendships, relationships in general, and/or bad habits or wanting to form good habits. All counseling is done with a foundation in the Catholic Church teachings. What is said stays between Mr. Calvino and the student unless there is possible harm to anyone and then he will contact the parent or principal (bullying situation at school).
If you would like your child to see Mr. Calvino but lost the form, just email Mrs. Kirschner or the office and we can send one home for you.

A Note From The Music Teacher

The Christmas program is right around the corner, and the children will soon begin preparing for it in music class. We wanted to give you a heads-up as regards the "dress code" for the show to give you time to prepare as well! It will be best if their outfits are ready by Dec. 1st.

Kindergarten through 5th grade students will be asked to wear their "Christmas best" for the program.

6-8 grade girls: black dresses or black blouse/skirt or nice slacks with dress shoes.

6-8 grade boys: dark pants (no jeans, please), black or white shirt (either polo or button-down with a tie is fine) and dress shoes.
